First awareness session for ISO members in developing countries.
Background
ISO/TC 304 has been created to conduct standardization in the field of healthcare organization management including classification, terminology, nomenclature, management practices and metrics that comprise the non-clinical operations in healthcare entities.
To ensure that developing country voices are heard in this important committee, the ISO capacity building unit is launching a capacity building journey to support efficient developing country participation in TC 304. This initiative is implemented as part of the ISO Action Plan for Developing Countries.
TC 304 has leveraged several international networks, such as ISQua and other national-level stakeholders to engage in the emerging work programme. These stakeholders are being encouraged to engage with their national standards bodies.
A series of virtual sessions will be organized for developing countries to create awareness on TC 304 and to train on key elements about ISO, its standard development process and how to participate efficiently. These sessions will help experts and delegates from developing countries to be better prepared for the upcoming virtual meetings of TC 304.
